Jamie serves as Acting Executive Director for the Department of Commerce’s Enterprise Services Program.  Enterprise Services currently provides human resources, information technology, and acquisition services, including strategic sourcing, to the nearly 50,000 employees that work for the Office of the Secretary the Department’s 12 bureaus.  Future scope for the organization includes additional services in all areas as well as financial management.  

Jamie joined Enterprise Services after fifteen years at one of Commerce’s Bureaus – the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) where she served in a variety of leadership capacities, including senior advisor to the Deputy Under Secretary and Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer for NOAA’s Research Line Office, and multiple scientific and communications positions.  

Throughout Jamie’s career, organizational change, and the ability to foster mission work – both on the scientific as well as mission-enabling arenas – have been a hallmark.  

As an extension of her ability to bring together mission-enabling and mission work, Jamie was detailed from NOAA to serve as a Legislative Assistant to Senator Daniel K. Inouye of Hawaii, with responsibilities ranging across the spectrum of NOAA’s ocean and coastal issues.  

She serves as Co-Chair of the Community Relations Advisory Board for the City of Greenbelt, Maryland.  

Jamie is a graduate of Bucknell University with a degree in Biology.  She also holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Microbiology from the University of Maryland.  She lives with her husband, daughter, and three pets.
