The White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (WHIAAPI) invites you to participate in The Future of Business Virtual Series with the U.S. Department of Labor. The U.S. Department of Labor will provide AAPI businesses up-to-date information on federal workplace requirements during the COVID-19 pandemic. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Wage and Hour Division (WHD) will share their agencies' recent enforcement and robust assistance work around new rules and regulations to help businesses succeed and workers stay safe during these unprecedented and challenging times.

The White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (WHIAAPI) invites you to participate in The Future of Business Virtual Series with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on their efforts to expand the innovation ecosystem to individuals from underrepresented groups. This will be a great opportunity to learn about the different resources and tools that USPTO provides to support businesses and inventors as they grant U.S. patents and register trademarks. There will be special remarks from Laura Peter, Deputy Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Deputy Director of the USPTO. The White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (WHIAAPI) invites you to participate in The Future of Business Virtual Series with The Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM), which is the official export credit agency of the United States as an independent, self-sustaining Executive Branch agency with a mission of supporting American jobs by facilitating the export of U.S. goods and services. The virtual event is on Thursday, October 8, 2020 and it will start promptly at 2:00pm EDT with special welcoming remarks from the Chairman of the EXIM Bank, Kimberly Reed. Following Chairman Reed’s remarks will be a presentation and Q&A session with Michael K. Jackson, the Business Development Specialist in the Minority & Women Owned Business Outreach Group in the Office of Small Business of EXIM. The virtual event will start promptly at 2:00pm EDT with special opening remarks from the U.S. Secretary of Transportation, Elaine L. Chao, who is Co-Chair of WHIAAPI, alongside U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Wilbur Ross, who we will hear from later in the series.
