HCHB Security

About

The HCHB Security Operations Branch provides the necessary resources needed for the protection and security operations of the Department of Commerce (Department) Headquarters, the Herbert C. Hoover Building (HCHB). 

HCHB security programs serve as the foundation of the Department security footprint and is aimed at assessing and mitigating risks to HCHB by deploying both physical security and technical security countermeasures, responding to emergency situations, and ensuring the protection of staff, facilities, mission and other assets. 

In addition, the HCHB Security Operations Branch manages the Security Service Center, HSPD-12 credentialing, armed Protective Security Officers, building Electronic Security Systems, perimeter operable vehicle barrier system, lock and key control, and security contract management.

HCHB Security Dispatch Center

For all security, fire and medical emergencies, DOC employees and building occupants are to call the DOC 24 hour HCHB Security Dispatch at, 2-2222.  The 24-hour dispatch office will respond to your issue, call 911, and provide building access when outside emergency help arrives.
